SO WHY AM I RAFFLING THESE PRIZES?

Firstly, hello I'm Steve - and thanks for taking the time to check this website out.. :-)

 

I have set this raffle up for a few reasons.

​

• The first reason is that I want to sell my house as quickly as possible, this is the main reason behind the idea. The house has been on the market for almost a year and although I have had multiple offers, I decided it would have to be the full asking price as I believe it's an absolute bargain with all the work that I have done. You can see a full list of what's included in the prizes section of this website.

​

• I want to get into fostering young children and helping them on their journey so I need a bigger home for this. I have been in contact with an agency and the third  bedroom here isn't big enough, the second bedroom is my daughters room - so once this house has gone I'll be looking for a 4 bedroom property giving me the ability to foster 2 children at a time.

​

• I also think it's amazing for the local community to have the chance of winning these amazing prizes on Christmas day - changing their lives forever. Mortgage Free Home, Porsche Cayenne SUV & A Full Work From Home Printing Business Set-up !!

• I decided to add the car and the WFH business to make the prize that little bit more exciting for entrants, my thought process is that if someone will enter a raffle to win a home, others will enter raffles to win a car, and then others to win the chance of running their own business from home - How cool is it that this raffle contains all 3 and with one £2 ticket - you can really win all 3 of them in one go !

Interesting Fact

​

5 years ago a man called Mike Chatha raffled his home in Shropshire successfully, his raffle was called "Win a Country Home"and it was received really well by locals, nationally and by multiple press publications too.

​

The interesting part is that he (ingeniously) created referral links when people bought tickets, meaning that after you purchased a ticket you could share a link on social media, and when others bought tickets you got a free entry!

​

I shared the link on my own Facebook page and all of a sudden I heard ping ping ping, people were buying tickets and I was getting free entries. I laughed and remember thinking this was really cool (and really clever)!

​

When I got the free entry emails, I also noticed that the person who got the most referral sales would win £5,000, this was a lightbulb moment for someone like me - that has a strong competitive side. The game was on !

​

I was and am a member of hundreds of national FB groups to advertise prining equipment that I sell, I would advertise deals and discounts on the pages now and again and it would boost sales significantly. 

​

Could I really share my referral link on these pages and it would work in the same way ?

​

I set to work writing a nice, but small and concise paragraph about what Mike was doing and how great of an idea it was. I started to share the link (and my paragraph) to all of the groups that I had access to.

WOWZER !!

Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping Ping... You get the drift - it was unbelievable !

​

I ended up spending around 2 hours in total, probably around 5/6 times sharing the link (and my paragraph) over the space of a month or so and I ended up gaining nearly 5000 free entries to the raffle. 

​

I ended up being banned from sharing on fb for 7 days in the end - I had shared the link (and my paragraph) that many times !

​

The day of the draw I was driving to a caravan park with my Daughters and my friend Fenlon (Hi Fen) called me and said "You Jammy Bas**rd you've got that 5 grand, how did you do that..." I was laughing because it was like 2 hours work (so I made £2500 per hour) not bad. The draw was heard on the local Radio station with the Shropshire Star Newspaper also present whilst he done it.

The next minute "Ring, Ring.."Mike calls me and gives me the good news, he too said "how the hell did you get so many referrals.."so I told him the story above and we both laughed.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

​

I have decided to offer a similar deal with my raffle on RAFFALL, you can buy a ticket and get a referral link. Share the link and you can earn some money (10%) to do with what you please (buying more tickets will be a good idea).

​

The good part here is that you don't have to win to get paid, you'll still get 10% of your referrals even if you only generate 10 sales. Win Win !

​

Had this been the case when I done Mikes raffle I would have earned almost £500 (if people only bought 1 ticket) - (most buying 10) before the draw was even made. This would have been hugely addictive for me and I honestly think I'd have easily trebled the amount I generated with this incentive and I'd have made £1500!
